Maggi Goreng Kari (Curry Fried Instant Noodle)
In Malaysia who doesn't know about maggi goreng. I really love to order that dish in mamak restaurant. I decided to try to cook it yesterday.
Ingredient:
2 instant noodle (I like to use Maggi, curry flavour)
One sausage (cut into dices)
Two eggs
Few cloves of garlic
One red small onion
Sesame oil, Salt and peppers (for eggs)
Water
Iced water
Oil
1) Boil water and once it is hot, put in the noodle n let it sit till 30 to 40 percent cooked. Roughly a min or so, where the noodles can be separated.
2) Take out the noodles and put it in a bowl of iced water and sit for 30 second and take it out.
3) Prepare the eggs. mix the eggs with sesame oil, salt and peppers to taste.
4) Heat a small amount of oil in the wok, once the oil is hot, turn to lower fire and put in the eggs, mix it quickly so it will be scrambled. Once it is cooked, take it out n set aside.
5) Heat up another amount of oil and in a low fire out in onion and few seconds later the garlic (as garlic burned faster than the onion).
6) Put in the noodles once the onion and garlic is crispy, mix it. Put in the curry powder which come together with the noodles, bit by bit, add in water if it is too dry.
7) Mix in the eggs and sausages and if you like, put in more of the curry powder. I used only 3/4 of a pack of the powder.
Once cooked, serve....... Slurp!
