We did not have to wait for long for our food to come. The restaurant were quite packed and The smell of the food from the other tables were so good. I get so hungry by the smell of the food. We were served with pickle while waiting for our first dish.
Our first dish was the Peking Duck. I had tried this dish before in other restaurants but nothing beat STAR's Peking Duck. Smell good, the skin is crispy, not too fatty and flavorful. The meat was fried with noodles, you can choose to fried it with rice. The noodles was tasty. The duck soup real appetizing especially the restaurant boiled it with a generous salted vegetable that I love most. Guess what, the table next to ours, ordered the same dish twice after looking at us eating it.
Before it was cut to pieces : Skin, Meat, Bone |
The CRISPY YUMMY SKIN |
Noodles and the duck meat |
Bone and Soup |
We also ordered sweet and sour fish (garoupa). The colour of the dish was bright and inviting. The sauce gave a tangy mouthfeel and it was delicious, best eating it with the deep fried fresh fish and steamed rice.
Another dish was the steamed chicken and the restaurant steamed the chicken pieces with mushroom and herbs. The taste were ok.
I ordered the kailan with dace fish sauce. I do not like the taste of the dish. Maybe because I dislike the Dace fish taste. However my mom said not bad.
Luckily my sister inlaw ordered another vegetable dish, choy sum in broth. It was nothing to shout about though.
We ended the dinner with platters of fruits. Yummy!!!!
